Name of Religious Site: The site I visited was an apartment owned by two Falun Dafa practitioners. While the building is not a temple with a specific name, the apartment is a warm place open for use to Falun Dafa practitioners. Furthermore, it is a place to obtain materials (flyers, books, videos etc.) about the practice.
Address: 1099 Clark Ave., Montreal, Quebec (in Chinatown)
Tradition: Falun Dafa
Membership/Community Size: Dan emphasized that Falun Dafa is called the "great formless way." Therefore there is no membership. He estimated there are 50-60 dedicated practitioners in the Montreal area and likely upwards of 100 occasional practitioners. (Falun Dafa does not compile name lists).
Ethnic Composition: Mostly Chinese, some Caucasians
Affiliations: Falun Dafa Association of Canada, Ottawa.
Activities and Schedule: Practices are held regularly around Montreal. The 1099 Clark site holds practices Saturday and Sunday from 9am-12pm. Practices are held at Concordia University—H building on Sundays from 13:00-16:00.
